A hiker, Runner and a friend
I came from Basco, Batanes, where pursuing a career in technology meant stepping far outside what was familiar.
Moving to Manila at 18 to study a program I had never imagined pursuing became the biggest transition of my life. I owned a laptop for the first time and joined a competitive community where many of my classmates already knew the basics of programming. That pushed me to adapt quickly, learn independently, and keep building.
Throughout college, I thought software development was the only career path available to me, so I spent four years building different projects. Then I developed a web app that started earning money, and I became curious about everything required to deploy and operate it. That was when DevOps entered the picture, and I have been drawn to it ever since.
Those questions are what pulled me toward DevOps.
